Belfast & Northern Ireland
Looking for web design in Belfast that actually sounds like your business? Pocket54 is a Northern Ireland studio that designs and builds bespoke websites, ecommerce, and web apps — shaped around your identity, not a theme demo.
Trusted by organisations who care about getting it right.

Local searchers compare a handful of studios, then pick the one that feels clear, credible, and easy to deal with. We design for that moment — sharp messaging, fast pages, and a path to enquire that doesn’t make people work for it.
Clean structure, sensible titles, and content that names Belfast, Northern Ireland, and the services you actually sell — so Google and customers can both make sense of you.
Clear offers, trustworthy proof, and contact paths that work on a phone in Botanic as well as a laptop in the office.
You’re dealing with an experienced Belfast studio — not a vanishing freelancer or a junior account hop. Training and support after launch are part of the deal.
We clarify who you serve in NI (and beyond), what the site must do, and what “done” looks like.
Pages, offers, and proof arranged so local visitors know they’re in the right place within seconds.
Bespoke design system, fast front-end, and the CMS or app layer you’ll actually use day to day.
Go-live, hand-over, and ongoing help so the site keeps earning its keep after month one.
We’re based in Belfast and work with organisations across Northern Ireland — in person when it helps, remotely when it doesn’t. Same care either way.
Pick the shape that matches the job — every route is bespoke, not a locked theme.
A sharp, findable presence when you need to look the part quickly.

I'm Rick, the founder of Pocket54. I've been designing and building websites and digital systems for over two decades, first under the banner of Blackdog Media, now under a name that feels a bit more like me.
I work with a small, tight-knit team of collaborators — designers, marketers, photographers - brought in when a project needs them. No bloated agency overhead, no junior accounts people. Just experienced hands who care about the craft.
Our philosophy is simple: volume is the enemy of quality. I'd rather do fewer projects properly than churn out work that doesn't reflect well on anyone. If you want a partner who's genuinely invested in your success — not just your invoice — that's what Pocket54 is.

Got questions?
No. We’re based in Belfast and most of our work is with Northern Ireland organisations, but we also work across the UK and Ireland by call and video. Local clients can meet in person when that’s useful.
We don’t sell template packs or vanish after launch. You get bespoke design and development from an experienced studio (formerly Black Dog Media), one clear point of contact, and systems shaped around how you actually work — websites, ecommerce, or custom apps.
Typical projects land between about £1,200 for a focused business-card site and £2,500–£6,000+ for a full custom website. Ecommerce and apps are scoped separately. We quote after a short conversation so the number matches the work.
Yes — we build with clear structure, performance, and space for the local content search engines need. Rankings still depend on competition and ongoing content, but you won’t launch on shaky foundations.
Absolutely. Many projects start with a site that no longer reflects the business or is painful to update. We’ll assess what’s worth keeping, what to rebuild, and how to migrate without losing hard-won trust signals.
